Looks can be deceiving. Valtteri Bottas stands at just 1.73m and he’s very solid, but boy can the man run. He completed a lap of the 5.4km Sakhir circuit in 20m12s (the equivalent of 3m43s per km), which was nearly a minute faster than anyone else this weekend. If you don’t believe the lap time – and there are many runners from rival teams who don’t – you can ask our non-executive director Toto Wolff for proof; he was cycling while Valtteri ran and timed the lap himself (photo courtesy or Mr. Wolff!).
