British Grandprix – Silverstone

Well Hello to all of you Formula one fans out there. If you are even remotely half excited about the sport as I am then am certain that you are aware that this upcoming Sunday the greatest motorsport event is finally coming to the United Kingdom at of course the legendary Silverstone circuit. F1 Silverstone Tickets have already started going on sale so if you happen to have a clear calender and able to make it to the circuit then I suggest you bring out your cheque book fast because they are going fast.

After last week’s epic race in Valencia which over the years has developed a reputation as being a bit of a snoozefest was suprisingly entertaining to all of us as against all odds we witnessed Ferrari’s number one driver Fernando Alonso impressively coming out on top as the winner. What made his win more impressive was the fact that he started out from position 11 on the grid. Other highlights of the epic event was the suprising DNF of Red Bull’s reigning World Champion Sebastian Vettel while he was leading the race and also Mclaren driver Lewis Hamilton gettting taken out of the race with just three laps to go while running in third position. With all that action and drama acting as a prequel into the grandprix this weekend, then there is no doubt in my mind that F1 Silverstone Tickets holders will definitely be treated to a mind blowing event.

The Silverstone grandprix will be a 52 lap racing extravaganza with a race distance of a little over 306 km. Fernando Alonso will be licking his lips sizing this one up considering he set the current record for the fastest lap time of 1:30.874 at the circuit. Mclaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will also be hoping to get a proper result at their home grandrix infront of their country men whom took the time to obtain F1 Silverstone Tickets so do not rule them out. And then there is the Sebastian Vettel who will be looking to put away the woes of Valencia by leaving everyone behind in the dust this Sunday.

The 60 year old circuit which a while back was under thread of pulling out of the F1 calender has had a lot of history in the sport, starting its life as an aerodrome converted to a racing circuit after the end of the war, it is now considered the home of the British Grand Prix. If you are looking to get hold of F1 Silvertone Tickets then its adviseable to do so NOW as not to miss out. Tickets are likely to sell out fast considering that a part from Wimbledon, there will be no other major sporting events taking place this weekend hence, most sports enthusiasts will turn to the circuit to spend their earnings.

Practice will start on Friday 6th with two sessions taking place, one in the morning and another in the afternoon. This would be a good opportunity to familiarise yourself with the circuit considering that there will be few people in attendance. On saturday 7th will also be divided into two sessions with the third and final practice runs taking place in the morning and the qualification session starting in the afternoon where drivers will compete against the clock for starting grid positions. Finally the the race will take place on Sunday 8th in the afternoon so be sure to arrive in early to get good parking space and good viewing postion for the event of the week. Lets hope for clear skies but then again its Britain, anything can happen.
